We’re delighted to share that three of our Heworth ARLFC Juniors have signed Scholarship contracts.

Charlie Severs - Heworth U15’s - signed with City of Hull Academy.

Callum Rutland - Heworth U16’s - signed with City of Hull Academy.

Jack Sadler - Heworth U16’s - signed with Castleford Tigers (Jack recently won York & District Junior Player of the Year).

Quote from Lee Clarke, Chairman Heworth ARLFC:

‘We’re really chuffed to see three of our most talented young players making another significant step in their rugby careers.

It’s a massive achievement for Jack, Callum and Charlie and shows that hard work pays off. The Club is 100% behind the lads and look forward to more of our young players following in their footsteps’.

This caps an excellent 2018 for Heworth that sees the Club forging ahead into 2019 on several fronts. The Open Age head to Eastmoor Dragons on the 23rd Feb to launch their return to the NCL, accompanied by the Masters who will play Eastmoor Masters in a curtain raiser, the new U18’s Academy is well underway and welcomes Darren Wheatley and Jason Bailey back to coach at the Club, and the latest facilities development is well underway that will see us add four more changing rooms.

2019 will see no less than 15 teams playing in black and white out of Elmpark Way.

Teams at U7’s, U8’s, U9’s, U10’s, U11’s, U12’s, U13’s, U14’s, U15’s, U16’s, U18’s, Open Age and Masters.

All welcome players both new and experienced, see Teams section of our website for contact details.
